Just got done reading the blow-by-blow account of the Apple World Wide Developer Conference from Engadget (Great coverage guys). The big announcement is the iPhone 3GS.The "S" stands for "speech" since the iPhone 3GS offers voice control in addition to mutlitouch. As I've said before, voice control and multitouch are really great when used together and the iPhone 3GS is certainly a very cool phone. I plan to upgrade on June 19th, the day it becomes available.
While iPhone 3.0 itself will support movie video downloads directly the phone (I still predict that movie videos and games is the next big market for Apple) over all I'm pretty disappointed in the keynote.
A tablet computer was never announced vindicating Gene Munster but leaving me a little sad. I was also disappointed that there was nothing mentioned about new Mac machines having touch screens with Snow Leopard. I thought that was a given.
The fact that nothing was said about multitouch screens tells me that Windows 7 is going to gain back and retain a lot of the Windows OS market share. The consumer is ready for multitouch on larger devices but Apple has dropped the ball.
Of course, rumors of an Apple 10" multitouch tablet persist even today but I wanted one now, not at the end of this year or a year from now.
UPDATE June 9th, 2009
I was pretty skimpy on details about the new iPhone 3Gs, so I thought I would point you to a pretty good review of new features from C|NET.

I second your disappointment. However, it looks like the macbook name is on it's way out (down to 1 model using it), so we might see MacBook or iBook being reused?
Also, If I were el jobso, I'd want to unveil that one myself. My guess? end of july, or a Q3 comeback gig for SJ, with some sort of new touch device (iMac or B5 Tablet)
Ditto on the disappointment about no multi-touch netbook from Apple... However, I don't know if you noticed but it was confirmed that the Asus T91 "netvertable" *will*, in fact, be MT with the Windows 7 version. Here is a link...still unclear about whether the one that just got released in the EU is MT or not, but it looks like not. I hope they put the Windows 7 one on the market ASAP.
